Wellness Ideas for Small Businesses

Posted by Matthew on 03.27.2017

small business wellnessA recent article from Intuit, the business software provider, offers common-sense advice for small business owners who want to bring health and wellness to their employees:

  • Lead by example. Program support from senior leaders drives engagement.
  • Offer healthy foods. Make sure your cafeteria, snack table, and vending machines are stocked with healthy choices instead of junk food. On company outings, choose restaurants that make healthy eating possible.
  • Bring in the experts. (That would be us!) Working with a wellness vendor not only handles the administrative burden of running the program, but it also protects employees’ privacy.

Our Solution for Small Businesses

Unfortunately, some small businesses have trouble finding a wellness vendor that works with groups of their size. That’s why we created the WellWork Kit. It’s based on our Full-Circle Wellness model, but adapted by our program management team to work for small businesses.

There are two programming options, Basic and Pro. WellWork Basic includes a comprehensive leadership guide, two turnkey wellness challenges, 12 months of on-site event ideas, yearlong subscriptions to two health education newsletters, and 12 months of client-branded marketing and communications materials.

WellWork Kit Pro offers a wellness portal hosted in partnership with MeYouHealth. The WellWork Portal includes a simple health assessment, as well as open social-style challenges and campaigns that focus on daily wellness activities, exercise, and smoking cessation.
