WCS Logistics Team Keeps Innovating
If you’ve ever planned a biometric screening campaign, you know that details matter. That’s why having a strong screening partner is so critical: we sweat the details so you don’t have to.
When logistics is going well, it’s almost unnoticed. But as we’ve pointed out before, small errors can lead to big headaches. Supplying thousands and thousands of events, in every corner of the country, takes enormous effort and skill.
Luckily for our clients, WCS’s 2018 accuracy rate for logistics was a whopping 99.994%.
How do we do it? First, we have the most dedicated logistics team in the business—and second, every shipment originates from and returns to the same place. Our central warehouse gives us complete control of our supply chain.
But even with a near-perfect success rate, our Logistics team never stops innovating and improving.
The upcoming fall season is shaping up to be WCS’s busiest ever. To get ready, we’ve undertaken a complete re-engineering of the WCS warehouse. We acquired additional space, reevaluated every procedure, and consulted with UPS to make our entire operation even more accurate and efficient.
WCS’s Logistics staff has spent countless hours revising workflows, analyzing data, coordinating vendors, mapping their stocking methods, and thinking through every step of the shipping process.
They expanded the area dedicated to quality control, increased our laboratory space, and drastically boosted storage capacity.
Of course, from the client’s perspective, the process is as simple and transparent as ever. Program Managers and client site contacts receive automated UPS notifications, so you always know where your packages are. Every item in our warehouse is bar coded and scanned, so it’s virtually impossible for a shipment to leave incomplete.
Superior logistics is only one reason that WCS is the best choice for screenings and flu vaccinations. (Check out our checklist and blog series on what makes us different.) If you’d like to learn more about our services, just drop us a line. We’d love the opportunity to show you more.
