+ Registered Dietitian (Indianapolis)

Wellness Corporate Solutions is looking for a Registered Dietitian to serve as a full time onsite health coach and wellness program coordinator for a large employer in the Indianapolis metro area.  This person would be responsible for onsite wellness event planning along with working with employees one-on-one to improve health behaviors and impact biometric markers.  The desired start time is January 2019.

Qualifications:

  • Certified registered dietitian with experience in health psychology and motivational interviewing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with participants of various cultures and backgrounds
  • Ability to adhere to accepted medical guidelines and practices
  • Comfortable with learning and utilizing technology
  • Friendly, professional demeanor
  • Masters degree or additional health certifications desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan onsite health and wellness engagement activities with employer stakeholders and the WCS team
  • Provide one-on-one health coaching sessions during designated office hours
  • Provide appropriate health recommendations as needed
  • Keep records of interactions with health coaching participants as directed
  • Partner with and serve as a preceptor for a local dietetic internship

Description:

Biometric screeners perform a variety of tests at WCS corporate health events, typically including fingerstick cholesterol and glucose, blood pressure, and body composition.

Qualifications:

  • Medical background, such as certified phlebotomist, CNA, LPN, medical assistant, EMT, or RN
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a medical, health, or fitness related field (preferred)
  • Current CPR certification and current First Aid certification (preferred)
  • Prior experience using Cholestech LDX machine and screening equipment
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Excellent communication skills and punctuality, including a reliable form of transportation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information
  • Access to email and internet and ability to check  email daily once hired
  • Willingness to model a healthy lifestyle while on-site
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

  • Provide appropriate health recommendations as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet participants as they arrive in a friendly, professional manner
  • Adhere to the predetermined screening appointment schedule and manage appointments within the online scheduler
  • Assist participants in completion of all necessary paperwork
  • Manage the flow of participants according to the appointment schedule
  • Direct participants to available screening stations

+ Registered Nurses for Flu Clinics, Health Fairs (All Locations)

Description:

Flu nurses are responsible for the successful setup, running, and break-down of a flu clinic in a corporate setting, following all HIPAA regulations and Universal/Standard Precautions. The flu nurse may work alone, or in a supervisory capacity with a small team. Flu nurses are also responsible for inventory management and the timely return of documentation and supplies to WCS.

WCS hires W-2, part-time basis, provides excellent hourly wages, and further on-site training when needed. Once hired, you will have the opportunity to work local flu clinics when they become available, choose from a list of upcoming health fairs, and set your own schedule. Our most active season is the fall; adding yourself to our network now puts you on the ground floor for screening opportunities around your availability.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Certification in Licensed Practical/Vocational Nursing, in good standing and valid in state of event location.
  • Preferred: Active Registered Nursing License, in good standing and valid in state of event location
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience administering flu vaccine
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA regulations, and the laws surrounding PHI and PII
  • Up-to-date physical, based on state requirements for an RN or LPN
  • Up-to-date TB results
  • Must be 18 or older with a reliable form of transportation
  • Must be willing and able to pass a criminal background check and drug test

Required Skills:

  • Ability to keep participant at ease, monitoring patients during the process of administering shots
  • Strong knowledge of flu vaccines, including storage requirements
  • Extensive understanding of vaccine safety control procedures
  • Demonstrated competency in taking a manual blood pressure reading
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and to maintain a high level of customer service at all times
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Computer literacy sufficient to navigate an online web portal to accept and decline job offers, identify important event information, and submit timecards and invoices
