WCS Teams Strive Daily to Reach Goals
At the beginning of 2017, all WCS employees came into the year with Be Bold goals, a six-point strategy to make this year our best yet. But for some departments, these goals are just starting points to the high achievements they aim for.
Our Talent and Acquisition (TA) team is no exception to setting high bars to reach their goals. They set two team goals, one Live Well goal and one Be Bold goal per week that feed into our core values of Embrace Teamwork, Live Well and Support Open Communication.
For example, if each recruiter is to fill an entire event further than two weeks out, the team will do 20 push-ups as part of their Live Well goal.
“I am blown away at the motivation and support that has stemmed from these team goals!” said Ashely Silbert, Senior Manager of the TA team. “The team is motivated by having a measurable goal to meet and recording their progress on the white board located in a central place in the office where everyone in the company can easily view keeps them accountable and motivated.”
One of Ashley’s favorite team goals so far was to fill all open shifts through a designated time. This was one of the team’s most ambitious goals and some originally felt it may not have been attainable. However, she the team met the goal and it gave the TA team the confidence to know they can achieve anything thrown their way, especially when working as a team!
