Chris Mathews joined The Segal Company in 2002 as the Washington, DC Office health practice leader. Just prior to joining Segal, he served as the Atlantic area client service and client delivery leader for another major national consulting firm. Mathews has 20 years of health and welfare benefits consulting experience advising both public and private sector organizations on:
-- flexible benefit plan design and administration
-- evaluation of managed care organizations
-- negotiations, rate renewals and evaluations with health plan vendors
-- strategic benefit planning and design modifications
-- development of health care cost management plans
-- implementation of outsourcing strategies
-- managing the interfacing of third party outsourcers with health and welfare insurance vendors
-- applying technology to solve benefits administration challenges
-- understanding the issues of compliance in an outsourced environment
